YMCA Mural Panels

NEW!!! In November 2024, my mural panels were installed on the outside of the Eugene Family YMCA building. Consisting of nine 4' x 8' panels, plus three organic floating shapes, the mural is arranged in a series of triptychs, and mounted to the W. 24th Avenue side of this new building. If you’re in Eugene, please go by and see it!

This is the first group I painted, and this design is the one selected of 2 that I initially presented to the YMCA. I learned everything on this trio! That I could squeeze all 3 into my studio space, and that we’d need to paint the edges and apply varnish and graffiti coatings in the Chambers Construction warehouse where there is adequate space and ventilation. Thankfully that worked out!

I could not have done this project without the help of Chambers Construction, my neighbors and friends who helped me move the panels around, and my trusted painting partner, Pat Larson, who I’ve painted many projects with over the years. He worked with me on the gradient backgrounds, varnish, and graffiti coatings.

Trio of Eugene Celebration Posters 2000, 2001, 2002

Event posters have been a consistent part of my graphic design career. From First Night Eugene, Art and the Vineyard, and the Eugene Celebration, to the Unversity of Idaho Jazz Festival. I love creating engaging and uplifting public artworks.
